The dominant Phrygian mode corresponds to the fifth mode of the harmonic minor scale. This mode can be used on a simple major chord, but is especially used in jazz, especially on a dominant seventh chord. This mode is constructed more or less in the same way as the Phrygian mode, with the difference being a major third while the Phrygian mode has a minor third.
